Transitions to Communities is a personal and professional skills development program for veterans who are experiencing obstacles reintegrating into civilian life after serving in the Canadian Armed Forces or RCMP. This program provides employment and skills development, as well as mental health knowledge, self-awareness, and coping strategies.
Their participants are preparing for employment. Often something as simple as lack of computers can be a barrier. This program provides computer training and includes open source applications such as LibreOffice. We are delighted to donate 10 laptops that will go towards assisting these veterans when it comes to searching and applying for jobs.
Transitions to communities are located in Calgary, Montreal and Toronto and we are proud to have worked with them in other cities in the past.
