Nalco Champion, an Ecolab Company, Reuses Their E-waste

Nalco Champion works with non-profit ERA to donate and repurpose their used electronics and IT equipment

Nalco Champion has been a proud partner to the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) for more than seven years. Currently, they donate between 120 and 150 laptops on an annual basis to assist in our mission of reducing unnecessary electronic waste by recycling and repurposing electronic equipment to worthwhile charitable organizations. ERA has been able to help hundreds of organizations in need with the gift of technology due to Nalco Champion.

Recently, ERA donated nine laptops and two computers to the Boys and Girls Club of Edmonton. This donation would not have been possible if it was not for the dedication of Nalco Champion and their contribution. On Dec. 3, 2019, ERA will once again be donating to the boys and girls club. This time ERA will be donating sixteen laptops that were donated by Nalco Champion.

Many charitable organizations find it extremely hard to save a portion of their already rigid budget to buy the technical equipment they may need to create more awareness online. In the eyes of other organizations, it is not a necessity and therefore isn’t first on the priority list when deciding on where to spend the money they have been allocated.  Therefore, ERA donating devices to organizations in need is a big weight off their shoulders and they can use their technology funding for other projects they are working on throughout the year.
