Last week, we were thrilled to donate within the Montreal area. We donated four laptops to two great organizations known as Logifem and Batshaw Youth and Family Centre.
Logifem provides shelter and care to women and children in Montreal. Their vision is to be a force of transformation in the lives of women in difficulty. Logifem has a shelter that can accommodate up to 20 women with or without children. Speaking with Logifem’s Executive Director, Sally Richmond states, “We are delighted to receive this generous gift of refurbished computers. Be assured that they are intended to be used by the Logifem residents and employees. We are thrilled to be part of this green initiative.”
Batshaw Youth and Family Centre mission support children who are victims of abuse, neglect, abandonment and have serious behaviour problems. Batshaw Centres services are provided to the residents of the island of Montreal who wish to receive them in English and to the Jewish community of Montreal, in either English or French. They will use the laptops to donate to a client of theirs who cannot afford a computer and the clients son needs a laptop to complete school work.
