The Electronic Recycling Association Partner with MLA Carole James to donate the gift of technology to the Victoria Cool Aid Society
Victoria, BC (April 11th 2019) – The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is excited to announce they will be donating to the Victoria Cool Aid Society and partnering with MLA Carole James to make this an extra special day. This organization will receive thirteen computers that they will put to good use.
“In today’s world Reuse should always come before recycle. Many of us forget that even though, to you your old electronics may be trash, to others they are a gift that is needed. At ERA we try to incorporate this and educate individuals that there are always other options before recycling. We are delighted to have MLA Carole James’s backing and look forward to standing beside her in this donation next week.” Said Bojan Paduh, Founder and President of the ERA.
The Victoria Cool Aid Society act to end homelessness by working in partnership with others to develop community-based solutions. They are committed to working in a non-judgmental way with adults experiencing marginalization in Greater Victoria by advocating for and providing emergency shelter, supportive housing, integrated health care, and other support services.
“Cool Aid’s clients will appreciate the opportunity to connect with family and friends, look for housing and more on these computers. We’re grateful that the Electricity Recycling Association are making these 13 refurbished computers available at no cost,” said Nicolas Methot the Client engagement facilitator at Victoria Cool Aid Society.
“This announcement is a positive step forward in breaking down barriers for some of Victoria’s most vulnerable residents,” said James. “Access to devices and high-speed internet are essential for finding work, connecting with family and friends, and utilizing services. I look forward to seeing the community benefit from this generous donation.”
