April, Earth Month was a busy month for the team at ERA – we launched a contest open to anyone donating unwanted electronics, or e-waste, throughout the entire month of April.
We would like to thank everyone who participated and congratulate our winners, who will have trees planted in their names through ERA’s partnership with Tree Canada.
Miss out on our Earth Month initiative? Not to worry, we pick up unwanted electronics every day across Canada, and that equipment is always used to help support our donation, volunteer and community programs. Book your pickup today to free up valuable storage space and support a great cause!
While our focus throughout Earth Month was diverting e-waste, we were also able to fill dozens of donations to deserving charitable organizations. The highlight for April was our donation to Boyle Street Community Services in Edmonton, where we delivered 30 desktop computers on April 21st. We were joined by Edmonton Centre MLA, David Shepherd.
Thanks to everyone who participated in our April events, including:
Thanks to the event producers who executed the following informative conferences, supported by ERA:
We also want to take a moment and recognize the devastation caused by wildfires in Fort MacMurray and across Northern Alberta over the past few weeks. While we know many residents and businesses won’t be able to return home for weeks or even months, we are working on a new program to help these residents and businesses with IT equipment once they return home – stay tuned for more details.
