Arts Council of New Westminster Receives 2 Laptops, 2 Monitors and a Projector

The Arts Council of New Westminster was founded in 1967. They are a community arts organization built by individuals and member groups who share an interest in visual, performing and literary arts. The Arts Council’s role in the community is to advocate for the arts and foster support for those engaging in artistic and cultural endeavors. They want to implement their aims, the Arts Council has identified a number of ongoing programs and special projects.

The Mandate at the Arts Council is the following:

• to create a vibrant presence of the arts in New Westminster
• to reach out and support our members
• to be responsive to our community’s wishes for arts activities and events

They aim to:

• Foster and support artistic and cultural endeavors in the community.
• Provide information and resource network for cultural projects and activities.

We were able to donate two laptops, two monitors and a projector to this awesome organization. This will support the community art gallery operations and programming. The donation will be used to assist staff and volunteers in bringing the community together through the arts. We wish them all the best for the future.
