MLA David Shepherd works with Edmonton Non-profit to Donate Technology

The Electronic Recycling Association teams up once again with Respected Member of the Community David Shepherd to Donate to the Oliver Centre

Edmonton, AB (October 30th, 2019) – The electronic Recycling Association (ERA) will once again be donating technology alongside MLA David Shepherd. David is no stranger to these events as in the past he has partnered on numerous donation events. The Oliver Centre in Edmonton will be receiving a donation of twelve desktops and six laptops thanks to ERA.

The Oliver Centre promotes children’s experience of safe and caring environments where their emotional and physical health, positively self identifies a sense of belonging. Children should have open and flexible environments where playful exploration, problem solving and creativity are encouraged and purposely planned. Environments will reflect a sense of belonging where children feel nurtured and supported. Children’s environments will be a place where their communicative practices, literacy, and literate identities are valued and supported.

“Donating to organizations that help better the community is one of ERA’s key objectives. Organizations like the Oliver Centre contribute a lot to our society so it only makes sense to return the favour. Having MLA David Shepherd work with us on this initiative for the third time is just marvellous. We truly thank him for taking time out of his busy schedule.” Said Bojan Paduh, Founder and President of the ERA.

Speaking with MLA David Shepherd he said, “I’d like to thank the Electronic Recycling Association for this generous donation to the Oliver Centre. More than ever, our society is aware of the need to reduce electronic waste and to be able to do so in a way that supports important community organizations like the Oliver Centre, is a win for everyone involved. I’m happy to support this work and thank everyone who’s donated their old equipment for the ERA to refurbish and gift to folks who can put it to good use.”
