New Drop off and Pickup Location for Donations

ERA Announces new office as drop off and pickup location for Donations in Calgary

To support sustainability and enable the public and companies to reuse rather than recycle, ERA is now offering two drop off locations in the Calgary area. Simply walk into their head office or their location off 48th avenue with your unwanted devices and be sure that ERA will cater to your every need. If you are an organization scheduled to receive a donation, ERA will be hosting these meetings at 803 48th Ave SE, Calgary, Alberta.

Their opening hours are between 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. The general public, clients and companies are free to drop off their unwanted electronics to be data wiped and re-purposed so that others can reuse them and reap the benefits. This is in effect from Monday, September 23rd 2019 to the foreseen future.

ERA accepts consumer electronics (gaming consoles, iPods and mp3 players, stereo equipment etc.), desktop computers (PC & Mac, monitors, parts, motherboards etc.), handheld devices (smart phones, cell phones, tablets etc.), laptops (PC & mac, docking stations, parts, cables etc.), printers (inkjet & laser jet, plotters, copiers, scanners, fax machines etc.), peripherals (keyboards, mice, CD/DVD roms, cards, accessories etc.),phone systems, racks and miscellaneous server racks, lab equipment, disk arrays etc.), servers (rack mount, stand alone, all brands etc.), software (operating system, editing, design etc.) and specialty items (CISCO networking, switches, routers etc.). After the devices are collected, ERA will wipe the data from each device and determine if the devices are reusable. Once they know whether it can be reused, they can then refurbish the devices and find it a new home.

“It is phenomenal watching the idea of ERA come to life. To start up in Calgary, back in 2004 and for an idea to grow throughout 7 cities with 9 locations Canada wide is just remarkable.” stated, Bojan Paduh, Founder and President of the Electronic Recycling Association. “Over the years, ERA has seen a major increase in the need for drop off locations in Calgary. My team and I are pleased to offer two locations to serve this purpose.”

By adding another location within Calgary, it will make it more accessible for individuals to primarily choose the reuse method over recycling their devices. In turn, this supports ERA’s mission to create a more sustainable environment throughout Canada.
