The Electronic Recycling Association donates roughly 500 refurbished devices to Canadian registered organizations
In just under 3 months the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) has donated roughly 500 obsolete devices back to those in need across Canada. The fortunate organizations comprised of community associations, children charities, women organizations, care facilities, musical groups and educational facilities.
ERA is making it their mission to ensure that every organization who requested a donation receives it by the end of 2019. Donating your unwanted electronics to ERA will not only help reduce the negative impact e-waste has on our environment but it will help decrease our waiting list and benefit organization in need.
ERA’s vision is to foster a better community by reducing electronic waste and enabling the non-profit sector to achieve excellence by providing for their IT needs through computer donation and computer recycling.
ERA’s mission is to reduce electronic waste and the negative impact it has on our environment, and to reuse unwanted computers and related electronic equipment through recovery, refurbishment and computer donation programs.
Nowadays, recycling has become a major factor throughout the human race and we need to change the way we are living in order to survive. With the increase in population, not only in Canada but throughout the world it is critical that we focus on the reducing and reusing aspect rather than recycling being our main mandate.
Even though recycling is extremely important for used electronic equipment, we should be focusing more on re-purposing rather than destroying reusable items.
If you are a company who is disposing of your obsolete devices, please call ERA and speak with one of their highly skilled staff to learn of the services they offer and how they can securely take care of your data.
