The Calgary Girls’ Choir, a non-profit organization was founded in 1995 by Ms. Elaine Quilichini. Her vision and passion has built one of the most celebrated choirs in the world. Ms. Quilichini invites young girls and women (5 years old and up) who love to sing to join the Calgary Girls’ Choir.
Their exceptional choirs teach girls and young women to be inspired and engaged through music. The choir experience is based on the Kodály philosophy; includes exceptional choral music education, performance, and touring opportunities. Their girls and young women develop poise, confidence, and responsibility and have lots of fun!
We were delighted to donate a server to the Calgary Girls’ Choir. This donation will help assist with day to day tasks and help to store important documents and reports.
All CGC programs provide musical education, vocal training, and performance opportunities. Based on the Kodály philosophy where the human voice is viewed as the fundamental and essential instrument for developing the child musician, chorister training includes cultivating the ear, taste, and a passion for music.
The CGC strives to increase the skill and knowledge of its young women while instilling in them a passion for music. The Choir itself reflects the diversity of its music—world-class and constantly evaluated. Their mission is to give women a voice.
